Vaughn Harber finishes strong to qualify for U.S. Open

Vaughn Harber qualified for the U.S. Open by closing his final five holes at 5-under par during the playoff at Lakes Golf and Country Club in Westerville, Ohio. Harber finished the 36-hole qualifier with a score of 9-under, tying for second place while PGA Tour winner Davis Thompson took medalist honors at 11-under. This marks Harber's first appearance in a major championship, scheduled to take place at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York, from June 18 to June 21. Fellow Ohio State graduate Neal Shipley also secured a spot, finishing at 8-under, while Maxwell Moldovan narrowly missed the playoff cut.
