Venezia owner Leiweke acquires minority stake in Bolton Wanderers

Tim Leiweke, owner of Venezia, and his daughter Francesca Bodie have purchased a minority stake in Bolton Wanderers. This acquisition follows Leiweke's efforts to invest in Benfica, which were blocked due to the club's board decisions. The pair, alongside Keegan McDonald, created Entrepreneur Equity Partners to facilitate this investment in Bolton, a club that almost faced bankruptcy in 2019 and has recently returned to the second tier. Leiweke expressed optimism about contributing positively to Bolton's future.
