Verhoeven seeks rematch with Usyk after controversial stoppage

Rico Verhoeven has called for an immediate rematch against Oleksandr Usyk following their fight in Egypt, which ended in a contentious stoppage at the end of the 11th round. Verhoeven, making only his second appearance in professional boxing, surprised many with his performance, pushing Usyk, an Olympic gold medallist and former undisputed champion, to the limit. While Verhoeven argues that both fighters deserve the chance to finish the bout properly, others, including Hamzah Sheeraz, question the merit of a rematch given Usyk's established dominance in the heavyweight division.
