Vertus defeats Rochester Prep in 47-0 shutout at Marina Auto Stadium

Vertus earned its first victory of the 2026 high school football season with a 47-0 win over Rochester Prep at Marina Auto Stadium on September 12. The Warriors utilized a balanced offense and an opportunistic defense to secure the shutout. Marlon Tillman and Zy’Miere Tanksley each recorded interceptions, with both players scoring touchdowns to build a 34-0 halftime lead. Coach Maurice Jackson credited the team's improved discipline for the performance.
