Veterans Memorial, Ray earn multiple selections on all-state baseball team

Veterans Memorial and Ray each secured two selections on the Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association Class 5A all-state baseball team announced on July 31. Jordan Garza earned second-team honors as a pitcher, while Jon Reyes received an honorable mention at third base for Veterans Memorial. For Ray, Joshua Hernandez was recognized with an honorable mention at catcher, and Orlando Ruiz Jr. received honorable mention at third base. Additional honorable mentions included Benjamin Terry of Flour Bluff at shortstop, and Maddex Carrillo from Alice in the outfield.
