Victor defense holds Spencerport scoreless in 21-0 football victory

Victor improved to 2-0 on the season following a 21-0 road win against Spencerport on September 10. The Blue Devils relied on a stout defensive effort to maintain the shutout while the offense found its rhythm. Junior quarterback Eli Ricci broke a scoreless tie with a 20-yard touchdown run in the final minute of the first half. Carter Abbate contributed a rushing touchdown in the third quarter, and Ricci added a 19-yard scoring pass to DeShae Nelson in the fourth. Antonio Martinez helped preserve the lead with an interception to open the second half. Victor continues its season with a difficult stretch of upcoming games, beginning with a visit to Hilton as the team seeks to secure a Class A1 position.
