Victoria Police interview four men regarding alleged Sydney Swans hotel incident

Victoria Police detectives traveled to Sydney this week to interview four men as part of an investigation into an alleged sexual assault at a Melbourne hotel on August 17. Three women reported the incident to police, which occurred at a Wellington Parade premises. While authorities confirmed that interviews with the four individuals have concluded, they also stated they have spoken or will speak to three additional men who were present in the hotel room and are being treated as witnesses. No charges have been laid at this stage, and police report they have now identified all parties present during the alleged incident. The Sydney Swans previously suspended five players—Isaac Heeney, Nick Blakey, Chad Warner, Riley Bice, and James Jordon—for the remainder of the season for breaching club standards. The AFL’s integrity unit is currently monitoring the police investigation, which remains active.
