Viking FK prepares for Champions League match at Aston Villa

Viking FK is set to visit Aston Villa in the Champions League on Wednesday. The Norwegian squad comes off a thrilling 3-3 draw against Bayern Munich, where they needed a last-minute goal to salvage a point after leading 2-0 at halftime. This is Viking's first appearance in a European group stage since the 2005-06 UEFA Cup, marking a significant achievement following their first league title in 34 years last season. Joint head coaches Morten Jensen and Bjarte Lunde Aarsheim have steered the club to notable success since taking over together in 2021, with Viking currently leading the domestic league.
