Vikings add RB Devin Neal in roster shakeup

The Minnesota Vikings announced several roster changes on September 29, including the signing of running back Devin Neal. Neal joins the team after a stint with the New Orleans Saints and was waived off injured reserve earlier this month. The Vikings released running backs Jaret Patterson and Jerome Ford from their practice squad in conjunction with this move. Max Brosmer was signed to the active roster, filling the inactive third quarterback role following J.J. McCarthy's trade. Additionally, Kyle Van Noy was officially added to the active roster, while tight end Josh Oliver may face a season-ending injury after surgery. Neal, a second-year player, totaled 310 yards and 2 touchdowns as a rookie and is expected to compete for carries with DeeJay Dallas during the current season.
