Vikings' Brian O'Neill comments on J.J. McCarthy trade to Giants

Brian O'Neill of the Minnesota Vikings addressed the recent trade of quarterback J.J. McCarthy to the New York Giants. McCarthy, the 10th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, was traded for a 2027 fifth-round pick. O'Neill expressed confidence in McCarthy's potential, stating he believes McCarthy has 'the right stuff' for success in the NFL. There are mixed opinions among fans regarding the decision, with some feeling that Minnesota acted prematurely while others see it as a way to gain value. The trade situation has left McCarthy in a tough position as he was QB3 in Minnesota and now continues in that spot with New York, facing increased competition once Jaxson Dart returns next season.
