The Minnesota Vikings have shifted their plans for Jamal Adams following his signing in late July. Adams, who wore No. 32 during practice and took first-team reps as a safety, may be positioned as a starter in Coach Brian Flores' defense. Smith, 37, had a standout 2025 season, making his status for 2026 crucial for the team's defensive strategy. Meanwhile, Adams, coming off a solid season as a linebacker, could return to a familiar position in the Vikings' defense.
