Vikings consider trading for Colts’ Anthony Richardson in potential QB deal

The Minnesota Vikings are exploring the trade market for a quarterback, targeting the Indianapolis Colts' Anthony Richardson. With Kyler Murray as QB1 and Carson Wentz likely QB2, the Vikings may seek a third-string option. A proposed trade involves sending J.J. McCarthy and a 2027 sixth-round pick to the Colts for Richardson and a seventh-round pick. Richardson has played 17 games in three seasons with a passer rating of 67.8, while McCarthy's role going forward remains uncertain as roster decisions approach. Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell mentioned upcoming evaluations of the depth chart ahead of cutdown day.
