Vikings project 53-man roster with focus on defense and specialists

Summary

The Minnesota Vikings continue their 53-man roster projection, concentrating on the defense and specialists as they approach training camp at the end of July. The defensive interior line features young talent, Jalen Redmond, who is now the veteran leader after the departure of other key players. First-round pick Caleb Banks is expected to be ready for training camp following an injury recovery, though he faces challenges in conditioning and technique. The projection includes uncertainties regarding the depth of the roster, especially with new rookies and returning players needing to step up.
