Vikings sign Jonathan Harris and Matt Lauter ahead of the season

The Minnesota Vikings have signed defensive lineman Jonathan Harris and tight end Matt Lauter. Harris returns to the team after spending the last two seasons on the practice squad, without making regular season appearances. He has previously played in 40 games across the Panthers, Broncos, and Bears, accumulating 91 tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble. Lauter earned his opportunity after a tryout at the team's rookie minicamp, adding depth to the tight end position. In corresponding roster moves, the Vikings waived defensive lineman Taki Taimani and cornerback Tyreek Chappell due to injury designations.
