Vikings sign linebacker/safety Jamal Adams ahead of training camp

The Minnesota Vikings have signed Jamal Adams, a versatile linebacker and safety, as training camp begins. Adams, selected sixth overall in the 2017 NFL Draft, has played for several teams, including the Jets, Seahawks, Titans, Lions, and most recently, the Raiders. He played in all 17 games for the Raiders last season, switching from safety to linebacker, and recorded 45 tackles. It remains uncertain how he will fit into the Vikings' defensive scheme under coordinator Brian Flores.
