Vikings sign UDFA Jarod Washington to boost secondary depth

The Minnesota Vikings have signed cornerback Jarod Washington, the reigning MEAC Defensive Player of the Year, to enhance their secondary ahead of training camp. Washington, who went undrafted, previously spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He impressed teams during the Shrine Game practices, recording a 4.42-second 40-yard dash. The Vikings waived rookie running back Kejon Owens with a non-football illness designation to make room for Washington.
