Vita Vea requests trade from Buccaneers, Rams show interest

Summary

Veteran defensive tackle Vita Vea has requested a trade from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Los Angeles Rams are emerging as a potential destination, given Vea's desire to play for a California team or the Raiders. Vea, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, is in the final year of his contract, valued at $18 million, which raises financial challenges for any team looking to acquire him. The Rams may need to create salary cap space before pursuing a trade. Adding Vea to their already strong defensive front could enhance their championship aspirations.
