Vitor Matos eyes Jamie Vardy ahead of Burnley match at Swansea City

Summary

Swansea City prepares to host Burnley at the Swansea.com Stadium, with visiting striker Jamie Vardy expected to make his debut for the club. Vardy recently signed with Burnley following his exit from Italian side Cremonese. Swansea head coach Vitor Matos acknowledged the veteran's finishing ability and experience despite the player being 39 years old. Burnley enters the match following a winless start to the campaign that has left the club in the bottom three of the Championship. Matos noted that Burnley's current standing does not reflect the squad's quality and expects a competitive contest between the two sides. The match serves as a focal point for Burnley manager Nicky Hayen as he attempts to improve the team's standing in the second tier.
