Volga and Clark advance in South Dakota state amateur baseball tournament

The 94th South Dakota State Class B Amateur Baseball Tournament is ongoing at Cadwell Park in Mitchell, concluding on August 16. Volga Cormorants and Clark Traders have each reached the quarterfinals, with Volga defeating Salem Cubs and Lennox Bandits in earlier rounds. Clark rallied past Wessington Springs Owls before a decisive victory over Tabor Bluebirds. Volga will face Alexandria Angels tonight at 7:30 p.m., while Clark will play Dell Rapids Mudcats tomorrow at 5:30 p.m. Other teams remaining include Parkston Mudcats and Canova Gang, with notable performances earlier in the tournament.
