Vondrousova appeals four-year ban to Court of Arbitration for Sport

Marketa Vondrousova has filed an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport against a four-year ban imposed by the International Tennis Integrity Agency. The ban, which runs until June 2030, resulted from her refusal to allow an anti-doping official to conduct a test at her home in December 2025. Vondrousova stated her refusal was due to fear for her safety, claiming the officer did not identify themselves properly. However, a tribunal found no compelling justification for her actions. The Court of Arbitration has confirmed receipt of her appeal, but no hearing date has been announced yet. Vondrousova has not played since January and currently ranks 153rd in the WTA standings.
