The State Journal-Register has opened voting for its athlete of the week poll, featuring nominees for Sept. 21-26. Candidates include Lucy Ambrose with 11 kills and 10 digs in volleyball, Talon DiGiovanna rushing for 135 yards and two touchdowns in football, and Ed Horton with 213 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Voting will close at noon on Friday, Oct. 2. Previous week's winner was Jack Turner from Havana.
