Voting is now open for the Gadsden-area Track and Field Athlete of the Year, with nominations announced on June 9. The Gadsden Times recognized Hokes Bluff's Conner Wellingham as the boys' honoree and Ashville's Lydia Northam as the girls' honoree. Fans can choose from 38 nominees across Northeast Alabama. Voting is allowed once a day and will close on June 18 at noon CT.
