Fans can participate in the Marion Star Football Player of Week 8 Poll by voting for their favorite nominees until 9 a.m. on Oct. 13. The nominees include Brody Ringer of Pleasant, who had 10 tackles and three sacks; Marcus McGary of Marion Harding with 126 rushing yards; and Wyatt Arver of North Union, who rushed for 100 yards and made an interception. Other nominees include Abram Norton, Kane Stover, Boe Sayers, Braxton Roberts, Elijah Maniaci, and Tanner Miley. Last week's winner was Weston Shaffer of Pleasant.
