Voting open for The News Tribune’s 2025-26 Boys Athlete of the Year

Voting for The News Tribune’s 2025-26 Boys Athlete of the Year is currently open and will remain so until noon on June 22. Athletes nominated include Trevor Anderson from Orting, who won his second state wrestling title, and Eddie Bruner Jr. from Lincoln, who defended his 400M and relay titles at the state track championships. Other notable contenders are Jaxon Budd from Tumwater, who set a meet record in the long jump, and Elijah Durr from Mount Tahoma, recognized for his all-around football skills. The winners will be announced after the voting period ends.
