Voting opens for Amarillo-area Preseason Girls and Boys Cross Country Athletes

The Amarillo Globe-News has launched polls to determine the Preseason Girls and Boys Cross Country Athletes of the Year for the Amarillo area. Voting opened on August 14 and will continue until 11 a.m. on August 21. Several standout athletes from local high schools are nominated after a competitive 2025 season, where Canyon emerged as the Class 4A state champions. The announcements of the winners will follow shortly after the polling concludes.
