Voting opens for BCC Readers’ Choice Football Player of Week 0

Voting has begun for the Big Central Conference Readers’ Choice Football Player of the Week for Week 0 of the 2026 season. The poll will close on Thursday, Sept. 3 at noon. Eligible players include Sherwin Appiah, JB Baxter, Justin Bowen, Jaylen Eastman, Sal Fama-Linn, Duan Fleming, Lamar Grant, Robert Lobozzo, Jackson Marx, and Shaquann McKenith, all of whom had standout performances in their respective games. Results will not be immediately visible after voting closes, and only players from winning teams are eligible. Previous winners cannot be voted for again.

- •Sherwin Appiah had 156 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
- •JB Baxter passed for 272 yards and three TDs.
- •Justin Bowen contributed with over 200 all-purpose yards and a TD.
