Voting opens for Girls Lacrosse Player of the Week from Section 1

Four players are nominated for Girls Lacrosse Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital, following standout performances in Section 1's recent regional tournament. Maddie Becerra of Pleasantville contributed a goal and nine assists, while Abby Gould of Nyack scored a career-high 12 goals in a playoff victory. Nevin Sullivan of Suffern excelled in draw controls, aiding her team's playoff success, and Beau Whaling of Rye scored five goals in a decisive sectional win. The voting period for this week's recognition is open until 3 p.m. on June 10.
