Wales secured a 34-17 victory against the Barbarians in a friendly at Allianz Stadium on June 27. The uncapped Amy Williams scored two tries in her debut, alongside Kayleigh Powell, who opened the scoring, and Seren Lockwood, who also crossed the line. Despite the win, Wales has just one victory in their last 15 Tests. Head coach Sean Lynn fielded a team with many young players, experimenting ahead of the WXV Global Series in October, although they suffered a late injury to Nel Metcalfe after her return from absence. The Barbarians featured a star-studded lineup but struggled to find cohesion in their first game since 2024.
- •Wales scored six tries, including two from Amy Williams.
- •Temperatures reached 31 degrees at kick-off in Twickenham.
- •Courtney Keight and Jorja Aiono also added tries for Wales.
- •Wales fielded a squad with 11 players aged 22 or younger.
- •Carys Phillips became the first father-daughter duo to represent the Barbarians.
