Wales' netball team opened their campaign in Pool B with a 59-50 loss against Uganda on July 25. Leading 31-28 at halftime, Wales struggled in the third quarter, which they lost 17-8. Uganda, ranked sixth in the world, maintained their advantage to secure victory. Georgia Rowe scored 30 goals for Wales, while Uganda's Shadiah Nassanga and Mary Cholhok contributed 27 and 23 goals, respectively. Wales’ Vicky Booth sustained an ankle injury in the final quarter. The team will play hosts Scotland next on July 28.
