Walton and Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton/Harpursville secure field hockey victories in Section 4

Section 4 field hockey play continued with matches occurring on September 9 and September 1. Walton defeated Onteora 3-2 in overtime behind two goals from Karlee McClenon and one from Brynlee Hunt. Mackenzie Roach recorded five saves to maintain the narrow lead for Walton. Meanwhile, Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton/Harpursville posted a 4-0 shutout against Marathon, powered by a three-goal performance from Lainey Steinbrecher. In earlier action on September 1, Whitney Point secured a 13-1 win over Owego with Kylan Smith contributing three goals and two assists.
