Wanya Morris signs with Dallas Cowboys practice squad after release

Offensive tackle Wanya Morris signed with the Dallas Cowboys practice squad on August 31, 2026. This move comes one day after the Atlanta Falcons released Morris as part of their final roster reductions. The Falcons had previously acquired Morris in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this year to provide competition at the right tackle position. A third-round selection in the 2023 NFL Draft, Morris brings 48 games of experience and 16 starts to the Dallas organization. While primarily utilized at left tackle during his professional career, he possesses versatility to play on both sides of the line. Morris enters the Dallas roster after failing to secure a spot on the Atlanta 53-man squad following the preseason.
