War Raiders return to WWE, challenge for Title vs. Title match

War Raiders Erik and Ivar have been gone from WWE programming ever since Oba Femi beat the shit out of both of them on Raw back in February. They moved on to AAA in Mexico, where Erik and Ivar defeated Psycho Clown and Pagano to win the AAA world tag team titles last weekend at Noche do Los Grandes. Their confidence must have returned all the way after winning AAA gold, because the War Raiders showed up in a backstage segment on tonight’s (June 5) episode of SmackDown in Italy. Moments before that happened, WWE Tag Team Champion R-Truth talked to his partner Damian Priest about calling his brother, who used to be a doctor (of thuganomics), to check on Royce Keys, who was beaten down by Talla Tonga and MFT earlier in the night. That’s when Ivar and Erik showed up with their AAA tag belts, where they didn’t waste any time in issuing a Title vs. Title challenge against Truth and Priest. But after Erik and Ivar issued their challenge, Truth made it seem like that he didn’t know who in the blue hell they were, and left without giving an answer. I doubt WWE would shoot this angle if a Title vs. Title match wasn’t in the works. Then again, I can’t find an official WWE clip of the War Raiders return on social media yet, so who the hell knows.
