Warriors consider trading Jimmy Butler for three Mavericks veterans

Summary

The Golden State Warriors are contemplating a trade that would send Jimmy Butler to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Klay Thompson, Daniel Gafford, and P.J. Washington. Butler is recovering from an ACL injury, and the team faces pressure with Stephen Curry approaching 39. By trading Butler's expiring contract, the Warriors would gain immediate depth and flexibility, while the Mavericks would clear long-term salary and potentially receive a first-round draft pick. This proposed deal marks a significant shift in the Warriors' strategy for the upcoming season and their future outlook.
