Warriors owner and GM argue over Yaxel Lendeborg draft pick

The Golden State Warriors appear to have had a disagreement in their front office regarding their selection of Yaxel Lendeborg with the 11th overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. A video from ESPN showed owner Joe Lacob and general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. arguing just before making the pick. With pressure to maximize the remaining years of Stephen Curry’s career, the Warriors are focusing on immediate contributions from Lendeborg, who is one of the oldest players in the draft. This pick signals a balancing act for the franchise as they look to build both for the present and future. Lendeborg's development will be crucial as the Warriors prepare for the upcoming season.
