Warriors prioritize post-Curry plans amid ongoing championship pursuit

Summary

The Golden State Warriors are emphasizing future success under owner Joe Lacob, aiming to build a competitive team after Stephen Curry's tenure. Lacob's strategy includes preserving draft capital and re-signing Draymond Green, despite losing LeBron James to the Philadelphia 76ers. While Curry remains a key player, concerns arise over whether the Warriors are fully committed to winning a fifth championship. Previous mixed results with their two-timeline approach prompt questions on the organization's current direction and ambition. Curry may extend his contract for two more years, continuing his legacy with the team he started with.
