Washburn volleyball began the 2026 season with a 3-1 victory over Oklahoma Christian on Thursday night at Lee Arena. The Ichabods lost the first set but rallied to take the next three sets. Emma Siron led the team with 20 kills and eight digs, while Shannon Frakes contributed a career-high 47 assists. The squad will continue competition at the Washburn Invitational with matches against Arkansas Tech and William Jewell scheduled for Friday.
