Washington basketball secures commitment from four-star guard Jimmie Haywood

Jimmie Haywood, a four-star guard from Compass Prep, committed to the Washington Huskies on November 3. The 6-foot-3 player, originally from Seattle and noted for his AAU performance, is ranked 131st overall and 15th among shooting guards for the 2027 class. Haywood chose Washington over options like Loyola Marymount and Nevada. He is expected to bolster the backcourt amid roster changes as key players approach the end of their eligibility. This marks Washington's second high school commitment in the upcoming recruiting class, following three-star wing Lattimore Ford's pledge earlier.
