Washington Commanders trim roster to meet NFL preseason deadline

The Washington Commanders are adjusting their 91-man roster to reach the mandatory 53-man limit by 6:00 p.m. ET Sunday. The team began making cuts following a preseason loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Injured players Laremy Tunsil and Johnny Newton will move to the reserve/injured list upon the finalization of the roster, while defensive end Dorance Armstrong is excluded due to a Week 1 suspension.
