Washington football extends scholarship offer to safety Braylen Bedford

Washington has extended a scholarship offer to Braylen Bedford, a four-star safety in the 2028 recruiting class. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound prospect recently transferred from Vardaman High School in Mississippi to Brentwood Academy in Tennessee. Ranked as the No. 6 safety and No. 64 prospect overall in his class, Bedford recorded 135 tackles, two interceptions, and seven forced fumbles during his time in Mississippi. Washington staff have now extended offers to 18 safeties in the 2028 cycle, though the program has not yet secured any verbal commitments for that group. Coaches Taylor Mays and John Richardson currently oversee the safety position for the Huskies.
