Washington Huskies pursue top 2027 basketball prospect Kaleena Smith

Washington Huskies head coach Tina Langley is scheduled to hold an in-home visit with point guard Kaleena Smith, the top-ranked prospect in the 2027 recruiting class. Smith, a 5-foot-6 player from Ontario Christian High School in Southern California, previously visited the Washington campus earlier this summer. The Huskies remain in contention for her commitment alongside Arizona State, Baylor, Connecticut, Louisville, UCLA, and USC. All of these programs are currently scheduled for in-home meetings with the recruit. Smith recently concluded an in-home visit with USC officials following a productive summer session that included an adidas 3SSB Circuit Championship victory. Evaluation reports note her ability to balance scoring from beyond 25 feet with distributing the ball to teammates.
