Washington secures commitment from top punter Nolan Balke for 2027 class

College SportsThe Washington Huskies football program has added punter Nolan Balke to its 2027 recruiting class. Balke, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound junior from Casteel High School in Arizona, chose Washington over the Arizona Wildcats after official visits to both schools. He is ranked as the No. 5 punter in his class by Kohl's Kicking and is expected to contribute immediately as the Huskies prepare to replace senior punter Hunter Green. Balke's skills were highlighted during a recent ranking camp where he demonstrated strong leg strength and athleticism, scoring 109.26 points during the charting phase. Special teams coordinator Chris Petrilli will have options at punter heading into next spring as the team looks to revamp its special teams unit.
