The Washington Spirit have signed 21-year-old Tanzanian striker Clara Luvanga from Al Nassr for an undisclosed fee. Luvanga inked a four-year deal that keeps her with the NWSL club through 2029. During her time in Saudi Arabia, she secured multiple domestic titles and earned the Golden Boot last season with 24 goals in 14 matches. The move follows the placement of Deborah Abiodun on the season-ending injury list, which cleared an international roster spot. Washington currently holds second place in the league table, trailing leaders Gotham by two points. The club prepares to host Boston Legacy on September 13.
