Washington women's hoops secures commitment from top 100 guard Ze'ni Patterson

The Washington Huskies women's basketball program announced the verbal commitment of Ze'ni Patterson for the 2027 class on September 16. A 5-foot-9 combo guard from San Jose, California, Patterson is ranked No. 86 nationally by ESPNW and chose Washington over several prominent programs, including California and Harvard. As the first recruit for this class, she joins head coach Tina Langley, who previously signed nine top 100 players. Patterson has shown her skills at the high school level, scoring 17 points and grabbing 8 rebounds in a game three years ago. The Huskies may pursue additional top prospects following Patterson's commitment, having hosted other highly-ranked players for official visits recently.
