Watertown Area Swim Club finishes second at South Dakota championships

The Watertown Area Swim Club secured second place, and the Aberdeen Swim Club took fourth in the 2026 South Dakota Long Course State Championship swim meet held in Rapid City from July 24 to 26. The Watertown club accumulated 3,514 points, while Aberdeen scored 2,398 points. The Sioux Falls Swim Club won the meet with 6,066.5 points. Watertown's success was highlighted by 25 event wins among its swimmers, with Sam Hoftiezer and Justine Kranz each securing seven victories. Aberdeen also showcased strong performances, with several swimmers finishing in the top 10 for high points in their divisions.
