Watford sign goalkeeper Naomi Williams on a free transfer

Watford completed the signing of goalkeeper Naomi Williams on a free transfer this afternoon. The 21-year-old joins the club following her departure from Arsenal at the end of last season. Williams, who rose through the Arsenal academy and signed professional terms with the senior squad in 2023, brings experience from multiple championship-winning campaigns. During her time with the Gunners, she was part of squads that secured the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup, the UEFA Women’s Champions League, and two Subway Women’s League Cups. Williams also spent the first half of last season on loan at Barclays WSL2 side Bristol City, where she featured in domestic cup competitions. She now joins Watford with the aim of contributing to the team's performance in Barclays WSL2.
