UCLA Bruins running back Wayne Knight has been named a candidate for the 2026 Doak Walker Award, recognizing the best college running back. Knight, a transfer from James Madison, has an impressive record, including 1,373 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns last season. He joins UCLA in its effort to compete in the Big Ten under head coach Bob Chesney. The winner of the Doak Walker Award will be announced live on ESPN's College Football Awards Show on Dec. 10. Knight aims to become the first UCLA player to win the award since 2012.
