Wayne Rooney criticizes Lisandro Martinez's interview after Man United loss

After Manchester United's 2-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, Wayne Rooney condemned Lisandro Martinez for his post-match interview. Martinez criticized the club's summer recruitment while discussing a need for more squad depth. The loss marked United's poor start to the season, currently sitting 13th in the Premier League. Rooney suggested Martinez's comments should have remained private, noting their potential to further unsettle the players. Former United player Ashley Young echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the need for players to take responsibility as January approaches for potential transfers.
