WEC replaces Middle East rounds with new races in Barcelona and Monza

The 2026 World Endurance Championship will now conclude its season in Europe, as the previously scheduled Middle East races have been replaced by events in Barcelona and Monza. The championship will first visit Austin and Fuji in September, before moving to the Gulf region, which included the rescheduled Qatar 1812km race set for October 24 and the traditional Bahrain finale on November 7. As a result of these changes, the final race of the season will take place at the two new venues instead of Bahrain. Details regarding the new race formats and schedules are expected to be revealed later this year.
