Wellington football earns victory over Seminole Ridge in 35-8 rout

Wellington High School's football team secured a 35-8 victory over Seminole Ridge on August 28, improving to a 2-0 start. Sophomores accounted for all five touchdowns, with Jay'Lan Tyler rushing for 112 yards and two scores, while Tarrens Catul contributed a touchdown reception. Quarterbacks Makhi Price and Alanda Shaw combined for an effective performance, with Price throwing for 109 yards and a touchdown. Seminole Ridge's Elijah Smith scored a touchdown but fell short as Wellington regained control, scoring quickly after the Hawks narrowed the lead in the second half.
