Wendell Moore Jr. leaves NBA for professional contract in Italy

Wendell Moore Jr., a former first-round draft pick from Duke, has signed a one-year deal with Italian club Virtus Bologna for the 2026-27 season. Moore, selected 26th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft, played four seasons in the NBA with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons, and Charlotte Hornets. In his NBA career, he averaged 2.3 points and 1.4 rebounds over 96 games. Now moving to the EuroLeague, Moore joins a team that led the Italian league last season with a 23-5 record.
